FLANGED THERMOWELLS

(Fabricated to DIN 43772 Form 2F, 3F)

Most Flanged thermowells are fabricated from straight or tapered tube with a welded end cap to DIN 43772. The neck extension tube and running nut are included in the design of the thermowell. This series of thermowells are installed into the process using a bolted flanged connection.

Form 3F thermowells are designed for fast response time by decreasing the size of the air gap between the tube wall and the sensor. A washer disc is offered to achieve economical construction similar to DIN 43772 for exotic materials. An optional tantalum cover is available for harsh process conditions.

THREADED THERMOWELLS

Most threaded thermowells are fabricated from straight tube with a welded end cap to DIN 43772 to screw into the process.

This design of thermowell will accept mechanical thermometers with male thread or running union, but also thermocouples (TC), resistance temperature detectors (RTD), and digital thermometers by using a separate neck tube.
